Update of the coordinates of the stations of the GNSS Network of Gipuzkoa

On July 7, the official coordinates of the stations that make up the Gipuzkoa GNSS Network will be updated in accordance with the new cumulative solution of the Working Group of the Specialized Commission of the Geodetic System.

The update will be carried out simultaneously across the GNSS networks of the Basque Government and the Provincial Councils, and it will be imperceptible to users of the Gipuzkoa GNSS network, given the minimal differences (below one millimeter) with the previous UTM coordinates.

2025 Orthophotography

The orthophotography of 2025 is now available on the b5m website. The Basque Government's Territorial Information Service has directed the realisation of the orthophoto, which has a resolution of 15 cm, and is based on the flights carried out between 9 July and 4 August 2025.

We have closed the B5Map 1.0 map viewer and it is no longer available. Anyway, we have migrated all the functionalities to the new map viewer B5Map 2.0, including the Txoribista service. The direct link to the new map viewer is here.

G-Irudia 3.12

Since 20 May 2025, the Gipuzkoa GNSS network has a new IP address 178.60.72.193 for all streaming and file download services. The IP 82.130.196.2 is no longer operational.

2024 Orthophoto

The 2024 orthophoto is now visible and available on the b5m website. It is a flight made between 14-09-2024 and 14-10-2024 and directed by the Territorial Information Service of the Basque Government. The resolution of the pixels is 15 cm.

G-Irudia 3.11

Nevertheless, be careful, if you have Autodesk 2025 you will have to download another file installer, the right one for this version. All the information is available on our G-Irudia website. Google Street View on the map viewer

2023 Orthophoto

The ortophoto of 2023 is available in the b5m website. This orthophoto is made from a photogrammetric flight by the National Geographic Institute (IGN), it has a resolution of 25 cm, and the pictures have been taken from August 11st to 21th of 2023.

We have updated the website header to make easier the geographical search. Now you have a text box to search for the place in Gipuzkoa you want. In the FAQ section you can see which search formats are accepted.

We have removed the classic map viewer

We have removed the classic map viewer from the b5m web. It was our first viewer and was up and running since 1997. In any case, it used outdated technology that caused major problems in today's Internet servers. We have therefore decided to remove it from our website. However, we have published another viewer that fulfills the functions of the classic. This new viewer is in testing phase, but it is fully usable. To access the new viewer, you must either choose between the results of the b5m search engine the link "2.0 (Beta)", or access directly through the route "MAPS > GIPUZKOA MAP VIEWER".

Use of language in b5m
